Applied research

WHAT DOES IT CONSIST OF?
The applied research program identifies specific needs or problems expressed by Indigenous Peoples and communities. Its objective is to develop, along with universities and educational institutions, research projects aimed at solving the needs detected by communities. Based on the type of need or problem, teams will be integrated with specialists in each topic that evaluates the research plan to subsequently determine activities to be carried out.
TO WHOM IS IT ADDRESSED?
The program is addressed to indigenous communities and educational institutions that want to work on solving real problems. The CITSAC’s applied research projects can be based on open or closed calls, or through the call of communities or institutions in order to establish collaboration mechanisms.
HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE?
Participation in this program depends on the detected needs to be solved in the CITSAC’s applied research projects. Prior to the development of the research plan, it will be necessary to have an agreement between the communities and institutions that will carry out the project in order to define the terms of participation of all parties involved.
